NASA has selected ARTS to provide support services including program resource control under a contract with the NASA Headquarters Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) office within the Space Operations Mission Directorate (SOMD) . SCaN has responsibility for various functions related to planning and operation of space communications networks supporting NASA flight missions.

 

ARTS provides engineering studies and technical assistance in support of NASA requirements for spectrum allocations, assignments and coordination in national and international spectrum management organizations.

 

 

 

ARTS is currently seeking a Senior Spectrum Management Engineer to support our NASA customer. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Spectrum Management Engineer will  serve as a professional authority and/or project team leader with expert level knowledge in Spectrum Management Engineering activities and will support international services and the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), Geneva, Switzerland. 

 

Requirements:

 

Education, Skills and Abilities:

 

*BS in a related field and ten (10) to twelve (12) years of related experience; will consider experience in lieu of a degree

 

*Ability to travel (travel approximated at 25%)

 

*Subject Matter Expert in spectrum management regulatory policy to include knowledge of NTIA and IRAC

 

*Ability to analyze documents of the IRAC and brief high level management with the data pertinent to NASA

 

Desired:

 

*Master's degree or Ph.D. in at least one engineering discipline preferred.
