Responsibilities

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provides comprehensive Speech-Language Therapy services to students.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of Speech-Language therapy with a Master"€™s Degree, in Speech-Language Pathology. Must be licensed by the state of Massachusetts. Must be certified by American Speech-Language Hearing Association with at least 2 years experience in hospital or clinical setting working as a Speech and Language therapist.

Conditions of Employment

Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check), National Background Check and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.

Additional Information

Pathways Academy is a private, year-round school developed to meet the psychological, social and academic needs of children and adolescents ages six through 22, with Asperger's Syndrome and related disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, socialization and peer-relations problems, anxiety disorders and school phobias. Operated by the Center for Neurodevelopmental Services at McLean Hospital, Pathways Academy is fully approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education and has a staff-to-student ratio of 1:2.

Successful candidate must possess basic computer skills in order to use a variety of electronic systems to access and/or maintain personal employment-related data, satisfy required annual trainings, and use job-specific applications. All employees of McLean Hospital are assigned an email account for business communication purposes.
