Responsibilities SUMMARY Responsible for multiple project oversight (projects less than 15,000 man hours), as well as selling engineering services to clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: - Management of multiple projects. - Proposal development and sales. - Quality Control - Oversee quality of services and deliverables. - Project Execution Plan - Oversee the development of the project execution plan including deliverables lists, schedule, butdget, and manpower projections required to successfully execute the project. - Resource Allocation - Oversee that the project team is of adequate size and expertise to provide the scope of services required by the contract on schedule and within the budget. Enusre that the project team has the necessary tools required to perform the work. - Scope Management - Oversee that the scope of services required by the Contract and out-of-scope work is properly managed. - Cost Management - Provide overview on project expenditures against the budget. - Client Contact - Serve as primary Kiewit Power Engineering contact for the Client Executive Management. - Project Status - Communicate project status to Operations Division Vice President and Engineering Services Manager as required. Provide regular reports including weekly reports, monthly reports and other reports as dictated by Engineering Services Manager and Client. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES This position manages multiple Project Managers. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. COMPUTER SKILLS Must be competent in the use of computer software applications used by Kiewit Power for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science degree (B. S.), or Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in engineering in any discipline from an ABET- accredited engineering program four-year college or university; and 5+ years related experience and/or training, specifically in power plant design. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred..
