Senior Sponsorship Executive

Main purpose of job
The Group Marketing Team is looking for an experienced specialist Events and Sponsorship Executive to help manage our global sponsorship portfolio. This individual will be experienced in managing and executing sponsorship programmes to support global business and marketing strategy, improving brand affinity with different client channels and have strong event planning and organisational knowledge. The role will also require good presentation and communications skills.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual capable of helping manage the businesses sponsorship portfolio and assisting to grow this in key regions for the business.

The role
This role will report into the Sponsorship Manager but will work alongside other business marketing teams around the world with our business development teams, key suppliers and our sponsorship and advertising agencies.

The individual should have good experience of working in the events and sponsorship industry or with events agencies, working with major brands and will have had experience in independently managing and effectively executing sponsorships. A second European language, a strong attention to detail, project ownership and a commitment to deliver high standards are attractive attributes for this role.

Responsibilities
*Events and sponsorship management: working within the sponsorship team to help achieve global business and marketing objectives through effective sponsorships.
*Agency management: work in conjunction with retained sponsorship agency, WSM Communications
*Budget management: helping to maintain the businesses global sponsorship and events budget, reporting back to the Sponsorship Manager
*PR: have an understanding of PR and how it can be used to maximise a sponsorship. Work with both WSM and the businesses PR agencies to ensure best sponsorship visibility and maximize all sponsorships.
*Engagement: working with interested associations and communities around sponsorships to create better brand affinity
*Internal liaison: providing a main point of contact in UK for group sponsorships. Reporting back to the Sponsorship Manager on all costs and value of events and sponsorship
*Planning: working within the sponsorship team to supervise and execute events around sponsorship activities, including managing various third party agencies to ensure successful delivery
*Coordination of advertising campaigns around sponsorship and events activities in line with brand guidelines
