Station is looking for Sports Sales Representatives. Station is one of the top sports talk radio stations in the country, and has a format monopoly in the region. This means that clients are eager to advertise with us on the air, on our station web site, and on our web broadcast stream.
Our Sales Representatives have the ability to offer exposure and association with some of the most prominent sports teams in the country. These affiliations provide our Sales Representatives with the ability to reach a wide array of prospects - even those that traditionally don t use radio.
We have great ratings with the money demographic groups and are a must on most institutional advertising buying lists.
Our training system for new Sales Representatives is among the strongest in the market.
In this position, you would be asked to solicit, present and negotiate sports sponsorships, station events, airtime and integrated promotions. Candidates must have the ability and desire to develop new business, and must possess strong communication skills and previous sales experience.
You will be required to meet deadlines and sales goals and work effectively with other station departments.
You will be provided with training including:
- Media sales knowledge, including media specific software.
- Special Event selling.
- Non-traditional and web based sales, including streaming.
Qualifications:
- Two years of outside sales experience preferred.
- Two years of sales media experience.
- Business, Marketing, or Broadcast Degree is a plus.
- Complete MS Office proficiency required.
- Must have a valid driver s license and own a personal car.
