A leading proprietary trading organisation that specialises in market making and derivative strategies worldwide is seeking a new SQL Data Analyst Developer (SQL, VBA, EXCEL, PYTHON or PERL) to join their City based team.
The firm has built up their team through hiring passionate technologists to work in tandem with their traders, quants and analysts to build efficient and technically advanced trading systems.
The role of SQL Data Analyst Developer (SQL, VBA, EXCEL, PYTHON or PERL) is for an individual who can take responsibility of the data infrastructure of the firm including storage, cleansing and strategy.
Working directly with the business you will be a data analyst as well as data strategist and data technologist with your skill set focussing on SQL, EXCEL, VBA, PYTHON or Perl. This will be a role that will require you to make suggestions and changes to improve the business and your communication, tact and passion for technology will be imperative.
As a SQL Data Analyst Developer (SQL, VBA, EXCEL, PYTHON or PERL) you will need the following skill set:
Experience of working in a high volume data environment (essential)
* Data Analysis experience (essential)
* Data Cleansing (essential)
* Data storage experience (essential)
* Experience in resolving data issues (essential)
* Experience of working with management and traders (highly beneficial)
* Excellent SQL experience (essential)
* VBA, EXCEL experience (essential)
* Perl or Python for scripting (essential)
* Experience in financial markets: futures, equities, FX (beneficial)
