SQL Database Administrator Job in Orange, California US

JOB DESCRIPTION: Database Administrator
· This includes but is not limited to the following: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Unified Messaging, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2008 and 2010, Microsoft SCOM, proprietary developed software and open source applications utilized by the company.
· 70% Microsoft SQL Server Admin. Doesn’t need to be a sql programmer
· Stand up high availability clustered SQL database.
· Work with Developers to maximize performance, do backups etc.
· 20% Web Master in Microsoft IIS. Doesn’t need to be a web programmer
Work on IIS 7. Perform release management functions.
· 10% Other Microsoft System Admin responsibilities, such as AD, Exchange, Windows Server Admin
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have experience with and strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005 and 2008.
· Proven experience in the management and oversight of high volume clustered Microsoft SQL Servers environments utilizing various SAN storage solutions.
· Proficient with the use of SQL Server Management Studio, Query Analyzer, Profiler, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Business Intelligence Development Studio and or/other third party tools as needed in the management and troubleshooting of database applications that utilize the MS SQL Server DBMS platform.
· Microsoft Exchange 2010 messaging systems, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft CRM and Microsoft SCOM.
· Must have basic programming and scripting skills. Prefer #C, T-SQL and Power Shell scripting experience.
· Strong knowledge of Windows server 2003/2008 Active Directory administration and networking (TCP/IP ver4, DNS and DHCP).
· Must be knowledgeable of server class hardware and Network infrastructure best practices
· Must be able to rapidly move from one task to another, sometimes interrupting one to work on another one with higher priority. MCSE, MCTS and/or MCITP EA, Server, SQL 2008.
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering, professional training or equivalent experience. Must be able to move equipment to install and check out cable connections.
