SQL Developer recruitment
Our data team responsible for historical data across multiple financial asset classes, require a bright SQL developer eager to utilise their skills. Applicants must have a good understanding of database design including data modelling, complex query design, T-SQL and have experience with optimising queries and handling performance issues. Candidates should have development experience with SQL Server 2005 or 2008R2.
The role involves:
- creating and extending bespoke data models
- writing and debugging T-SQL code
- optimising and building efficient SQL queries
- following best practice and adhering to a software development life cycle
- covering some standby and call out on a rota basis
- responding to data issues caused by external factors
- resolving bugs and building enhancements
- liaising with researchers across the business to produce timely and appropriate solutions
