SQL Reports – Crafton, PA – $70

Ensure production database(s) are functioning and operating efficiently to support the service level of all applications used within organizations.

* Assist Sr. Database Administrator and Application Development team with design and architecture of database(s) to support the companies applications.

* Create custom reports based on requests received by following established guidelines to ensure correct information is given to appropriate recipient.

* Issue permissions to specific users to allow/deny access to certain database information and to ensure protected data is secure.

* Ensure production systems are working effectively by following established guidelines to ensure deleted data can be retrieved from backup servers

* Develop and test disaster recovery plans and backup plans by following plan specifications to detect any faults and to ensure each plan is functional.

* Create, revise and maintain database source code including views, stored procedures and triggers.

* Monitor transaction activities and assist developers and business clients in the utilization of appropriate databases.

* Maintain integrity and security of data contained with all databases.

* Deploy database changes through the different environments (Development, Quality Assurance, Production)

* Provide back-up and assistance to other department members as needed to ensure efficient department operation.

* Create or perform database functions as requested including data replication verification, DTS (data transformation services), scripting, job scheduling, script packaging, distributed transactions, configuring, optimizing, performance tuning, monitoring and reporting.

Required Skills: Competencies in install/configure/upgrade/patch, backup/recovery/standby-database

Performance diagnostics/tuning

Space Management in SQL Server and SQL Server Cluster database environments

Experience using T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS

Experience using SQL Server Profiler and Performance Monitor

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize

Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent PC and internet skills

Research skills

Knowledge of current network hardware and protocols and standards.

Understanding of applicable data and privacy practices and laws

Strong working knowledge of system testing best practices, tools and methodologies

Required Education: Bachelors Degree in related field or 3 years equivalent experience
