Position Description
T-Chek is looking for a SQL Server Database Developer / Administrator to join the Systems Development team. Our team designs and develops innovative customer-facing and internal solutions for T-Chek Systems. Our applications are vital to T-Chek's continued growth and success.

This position will be responsible for participating in the establishment of T-SQL coding standards, design and coding efforts and maintenance tasks as required. The position requires a person who:

Responsibilities
- Technical support of application developers
- Assist in the requirements analysis, design, development of SQL code and structures
- T-SQL script tuning and development
- Data access control based on security and privacy settings
- Migration and execution of SQL stored procedures and scripts
- Participate in 24x7 on call support
- Performance and tuning analysis, systems support and optimization
- Disaster Recovery testing
- SQL Server environment maintenance
- Backup and recovery set-up and monitoring

Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 4+ years experience of MS T-SQL development and SQL Server administration of SQL Server 2005/2008 servers, preferably in large, corporate database environments.
- 5-8 years solid IT experience
- In depth experience with
- Database development and design
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Ability to enhance unfamiliar code
- Demonstrated success in the development and delivery of IT solutions
- A strong desire and ability to quickly learn T-Chek's business
- Ability to work independently
- Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment and ability to successfully multitask
- Not required but valued experienced with:
- SQL Server Database Mirroring
- SQL Server Database Snap-Shots
- SQL Server Service Broker (SSBS)
- Analysis Services
- Log shipping

Required Education
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent business experience
