SQL Server & DBA Developer Job in RH12 1RQ, Home Counties UK
Creative Technologies is a small, but rapidly expanding company, providing IT expertise to the Financial Services industry. We recently moved to modern new offices in Horsham, West Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server specialist to work on new projects and maintain our existing bespoke systems. The IT dept is a small team, and we need someone who can work independently, whilst also collaborating closely with colleagues.
The role incorporates:
· Maintaining our existing production and development database environments
· Performance monitoring and tuning
· Developing and deploying new and existing applications, in collaboration with our asp.net developers
· Managing the import and export of data to and from external systems
· Assisting our support team to fix bugs and address user issues
· Planning and implementation for backups, disaster recovery and high availability
The candidate needs at least three years commercial SQL Server experience of database administration in a working environment, including:
· SQL Server 2005 onwards
· TSQL
· Writing stored procedures, udfs, adhoc queries
· SSIS, SQL Profiler
· Database design
· Optimising database performance
· Database security
As we are a small team, it would also be useful to have a good knowledge of .NET and IIS.
