SQL Server Developer - Leading Investment Bank - London
My client, a leading global investment bank, is looking to bring in an experienced SQL developer with a strong financial background to join their growing team. This is a world-renowned organisation, who is working on the development of a new data model and ETL process using Service Broker, together with bringing the data across from a legacy platform to the new ETL.
Though this is a lead SQL Server developer position, the responsibilities are aligned more around being a T-SQL subject matter expert, who is able to lead development and provide mentoring, as opposed to working as a manager. The ideal candidate will be very hands on, and have a strong understanding of SQL Server, T-SQL and ideally SQL CLR, as well as other development skills.
Key Skills for the T-SQL Developer - Leading Investment Bank - London:
• Strong T-SQL development experience and good SQL knowledge
• Experience with SQL Server 2008 and higher
• Strong understanding of Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and XML development and testing
• Team Foundation Server - TFS
• Understanding of SSIS packages
• PowerShell
• SQL CLR would be ideal
• NoSQL technologies (Elastic Search, Hadoop, MONGODB) would be a bonus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team Player
