2-3 Sr Developers - SQL Server 2008 - 6 month contract

Greensboro, NC - onsite 2 days/ week

Client is a growing, dynamic company and they are looking for strong team members to join a major database architecture initiative.  They are using SQL Server 2008 and need folks to come on board and help them move to a new level of technology.  The Developer role will be writing complex TSQL data solutions to handle multiple results sets and utilize XML.

Required
- 3-5 years focused on SQL Server database programming with some 2008.
- Strong T/SQL experience and skills developing Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
- Strong optimization and tuning of databases, stored procedures, and queries.
- Strong data load, data migration, and data validation
- Strong extract/ transform/ load skills, both manual and automated
- Preffered - physical/logical modeling, mapping, multiple return sets, XML, extended stored procedures, any exposure to Postgres (converting these databases to SQL Server)

SQL Developer - 2008 - 6 month contract - no visa candidates
Winston-Salem, NC - onsite only

- SSIS, stored procedures, performance tuning
- will work the ticket cue resolving a backlog of issues and fixes
- must have excellent verbal communication skills

The Database programmer performs work assignments as part of a project team which could include developing and implementing large-scale, high-volume databases and data warehouses in MS SQL Server technology.  Key responsibilities for this position include software solution code development, dimensional data construction and unit testing, system tuning and overall solutions testing.  The successful candidate will also work with end-users, domain experts, support teams and product managers.

Required
•    BS/BA from a four-year college/university AND 3+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Strong understanding of SQL Server 2005/SQL Server 2008
•    Thorough understanding of SQL Server SSIS development
•    Thorough understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services
•    Proven abilities and knowledge in performance tuning of database related functions
•    Proven ability to work in a demanding, high paced environment
•    Ability to develop and maintain effective communication
•    Understanding of systems analysis and design (hardware, software, policies, procedure and data)
•    Ability to develop and maintain good technical and professional communication skills, both written and oral
•    Ability to work on multiple priorities involving different skill sets simultaneously
•    Ability to research, develop and manage systems unsupervised
•    Emphasizes structure, process and methodology
•    Ability to effectively adapt to and apply rapidly changing technology to business needs
