SQL SERVER TRADING SUPPORT ASSET MANAGEMENT recruitment

Primary duties will be supporting the business critical applications, working closely with the trading, operations, marketing, finance and development teams.

This is a technical role with a high degree of user interaction. The Trade Support team provides an excellent opportunity to experience the full spectrum of the company’s activities and is an ideal place to launch a very successful career.

The role operates on a weekly rota basis which includes weeks of 7:00am and 8:00am starts and core business hours for the remaining weeks.

Experience and requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will be educated to degree level in a numerate, scientific or computing discipline. They will have a good technical background including SQL to query level and have an analytical approach to problem solving. A familiarity of the Fixed Income and Derivatives business would be an advantage, as would any application support experience.

They will be clear and effective communicators, able to act effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with call tracking and change management systems and processes would also be viewed positively.

In summary:

Essential:

•          Educated to degree level in relevant Numerate/Computational/Scientific subject

•          SQL to query level, MS SQL or other relational database

•          Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

•          Demonstrable strong analytical ability

•          Detail oriented, able to follow procedures and processes

Nice to have:

•          Recent trading application support experience

•          Call tracking systems exposure

•          ITIL

•          Financial experience (Fixed Income, Convertibles and Derivatives)
