Sr. Account Services Associate recruitment
Assume primary responsibilities for new account set up and inception, cashiering, proxy and corporate action processing. Ensure adherence to the Firm’s administrative and compliance requirements. Engage in special projects and work as part of the Account Services Team by participating in the oversight of day-to-day responsibilities.
Duties Responsibilities
- Participate in daily tasks with the team members of the Account Services Department including:
-Establishing/incepting new accounts in a timely and accurate fashion
-Updating existing accounts
-Terminating accounts
-Proxy processing
-Processing corporate action votes
-Processing cashiering requests for clients and employees
- Participate in the implementation of new and existing regulatory requirements related to new accounts, cashiering and proxy functions (e.g., AML, CIP, and SEC Books and Records).
- Proactively identify process improvements to workflows and procedures, participate in the implementation of such enhancements and document into department procedures.
- Participate or lead in technology driven project for the group.
- Actively communicate with prime broker, custodians and proxy vendor as part of client servicing.
- Lead or participate in the on boarding of new employee and in the cross training of existing employees.
- Independently solve complex problems without requiring direction or support.
- Proactive coordination of and participation in providing back-up coverage for the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years investment advisory/industry experience, particularly within the area of investment operations.
- Must be able to work independently with a positive and professional attitude and coordinate tasks with others as needed in order to meet team deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with numerous and conflicting deadlines, while successfully meeting them.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office and Excel; with a preferred experience with Adobe Acrobat Writer.
- Ability to learn various vendor platforms utilized within the group.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.

Occasionally, situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically out lined in this job description. In addition, employees may be required to work additional hours to accommodate a heavier than normal workload, fill in for an absent co-worker, or to assist in special project.
Key Organizational Relationships
This position requires frequent interaction with individuals at all levels throughout the Firm, including Investment Advisory, Trading Services, Global Investment Services, Management Information Systems, Compliance, Legal, Trading, Marketing and Accounting.
