The main purpose of this role is to participate in the Finance and Business Service activities in the Nordic area (currently Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway) so the:
* Books and records for the Nordic entities are prepared and maintained in line with global finance requirements and all recognised accounting standards (Shire GAAP, US GAAP, Local GAAP)
* Monthly reporting to Group Finance is timely and accurate
* Local compliance in areas such as local taxation, social laws, VAT, SOX, regulatory, etc. is achieved
* Local processes, systems and practices are continually managed, developed and improved
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for:
Accounting/Preparation of monthly annual accounts:
* Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers in SAGE
* Supporting the Finance Manager with monthly reporting to Group Finance, including additional quarter end and year end disclosures
* Overseeing the monthly accounting close and ensuring that all information fed from sub systems is accurate, timely and in compliance with all GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
* Active participation in Group Consolidation issues as required thus ensuring month end processes captures relevant information in a pro-active manner.
* Ensuring and Managing the account reconciliation process including representations of the accuracy of accounts on a monthly basis.
* Handling of AR/AP, I/C recharging and reconciliation, fixed assets and corresponding depreciation / amortization
* Reconciliation and clearing of key balance sheet accounts
* To support the Finance Manager in preparing and filing of the statutory accounts.
Internal Reporting/External Reporting:
* Ensuring the accounting system is able to deliver the necessary information to meet all reporting requirements
* Preparation of HFM reports/queries
* To support the Finance Manager in preparing and filing of the statutory accounts
* To support the Finance Manager in managing all aspects of internal and external financial and operational audits
Education Experience Requirements
Required:
Experience in financial accounting with a minimum of 7 years in Industry, in particular in balance sheet accounting and taxes.
Experience in IS-Systems (accounting systems and complete windows-office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Swedish and English fluently (to support day to day contact with corporate functions)
Desirable:
* Experience in accounting system SAGE X3
* Experience in data analysis
* Experience within international companies
