Sr. Finance and Accounting Professional
This Senior position in our growing Accounting/Finance Department is an outstanding growth opportunity for a high energy, driven individual with the ability to handle a fast-paced, high growth environment. Reporting directly to the CFO, the selected candidate will have proven technical and process improvement skills and will have the capability to comprehend complex business models and communicate their impact on accounting and financial results.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for timely and accurate month and year-end closings and preparation of all related financial reporting packages in accordance with GAAP for all of Joule’s US and international subsidiaries
· Supervision of A/P, payroll and treasury functions
· Establish and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and controls related to the Company’s accounting and finance functions
· Identify and implement accounting process and system improvements that continually support the Company’s growth requirements
· Prepare budgets, forecasts and analysis of financial and operational performance
· Oversee cash management processes, reporting and reconciliations
· Lead role in ensuring an efficient annual audit process and interaction with the Company’s auditors
· Oversee preparation of all tax-related returns and filings
· Handle a wide range of miscellaneous financial and operational special projects
Qualifications:
· Minimum of seven (7 +) years of experience in similar function with at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role
· Familiarity with the energy/chemical/biotech sectors preferable
· CPA and MBA qualifications preferable
· Extensive knowledge and adherence to current GAAP requirements (USGAAP required, IFRS desirable)
· Strong working knowledge of SOX and public company reporting requirements
· Excellent attention to detail required; ability to multi-task
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with advanced accounting/ERP systems like Oracle (JDEdwards), SAP, or similar
· Experience with ADP or similar payroll software desired
