This position is located in our VA, Herndon facility
General Dynamics IT is seeking a Sr. AMX Programmer interested in an exciting opportunity to join our team. The selected Sr. AMX Programmer should be able to:
* Program, Install, and troubleshoot complex audio, video control systems.
* Work in a proprietary collaborative environment amidst other Video Engineers
* Have working experience supporting CRESTRON and AMX Programming
*Working experience and ability to program touch panels based upon formal engineering designs, customer project requirements or documentation quickly and efficiently.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware cabling and components in addition to programming touch panels.
* Proven ability to maintain program version control and adhere to configuration management
* Analyze and rectify video switching and control system issues respectively
*Assist in project budget, cost, and risk estimation
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
**AMX Programmer I II training course completion is a plus!
**CTS Design Certification a plus!
Bachelor's Degree plus 4-7 years experience; 10 or more years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
*Ability to obtain CTS Design Certification
*Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
