Sr Analyst

Includes jobs responsible for a variety of activities that directly support the sales function and customer support.

Responsible for analyzing customer demand patterns, future trends, market competition, and company product mix and revenue strategies in making recommendations to optimize product supply. Maintains complete knowledge and understanding of key customer's forecasting, sales ' revenue plans and manufacturing/material management. Typical duties: Conducts ongoing analysis and interpretation of customer consumption and fulfillment adjustments to determine trended future requirements. Acts as primary source to the customer in the consolidation of product fulfillment and communicating changes/alternatives to the customer. Identifies and negotiates constraints in production capabilities regarding configuration, material, and technical issues. Based on knowledge of internal product and revenue strategies, interacts with Seagate internal sales force to achieve a balanced strategy in fulfilling customer delivery requirements. Manages the pilot/risk build and new product transition to ensure product fulfillment meets customer delivery requirements.

Performs data and information analysis leading to business decisions or recommendations. Frequently includes preparation of reports and other documents.  

 

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

 

The qualified candidate will be responsbile for the following:

 

1. Weekly Sales out planning by account (need to move this to weekly sales out by account by sku)
2. 6 month forward sales out planning by account (need to move this to by account by sku)
3. Weekly manu filtration by account by sku to make the sales out interlock (this included by geo, by sales lead)
4. Weekly inventory metrics by geo, by sales lead by account by sku
5.  Interlock preparation -- TAM, TAM by capacity planning, sales out forecasting
6.  Bi-weekly sales outlook reporting for Finance -- specific to STM and sales out

 

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.  BS Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.  MBA a plus.

Advanced knowledge with Microsoft office. i,e excel, reports, pivot tables etc...
