Sr Analyst-Revenue Assurance

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business area preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Minimum 4 years related experience, with 2+ years of extensive experience with pricing design and/or testing. Experience with VZW and POS applications required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, VZW data warehouse, database query tools, and use of macros are required. Excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills are required. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to work under pressure, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, must be self-motivated and highly adaptable to change. Strong project management skills required. Ability to work in a team environment with our team as well as other business departments, as well as oversee and provide guidance to other team members. A. Project management/participation on all billing system enhancement releases, conversions, property transitions, etc., to ensure accurate and timely completion of reference data-related tasks including but not limited to the following: - Evaluate Requirements Templates (RTs) and Approach Documents for all reference data modifications. Ensure these comply with established control processes, make recommendations to support Finance objectives and goals, and provide feedback and approval for the South Area. - Ensure test scripts are created and executed for regression testing during every Enterprise release. - Maintain project plans, test scripts, issues, and status reports according to control procedures. - Develop and communicate turnover documentation to affected teams. - Update desktop procedures and regression test scripts prior to every new software release. B. Serve as subject matter expert to Sales and Marketing and prepare joint plans for implementation of new product and service offerings to ensure accurate and timely implementation. Oversee modifications to pricing and billing reference data to ensure customer service offerings are properly designed to bill the product as advertised to the customer via collateral, bill messages, and other internal communications. The Sr. Analyst must have an in-depth understanding of our products as well as how they are delivered via our billing system. In addition, they must constantly incorporate new service offerings into their knowledge base along with the constantly changing Vision software functionality to ensure these products will produce the desired result for the customer and our revenue stream. C. Perform monthly analysis of all active pricing elements to ensure all and only current service offerings are available to those channels and customers required. Work with marketing to ensure the most concise presentation of pricing elements to improve ease of activation and accuracy. Manage the maintenance of pricing databases, develop new queries to aid in problem analysis and improve auditing processes. D. Research and resolution of suspected billing issues related to reference data. This includes researching daily issues as well as tracking and analysis of previously reported issues to identify possible trends that may point to more complex problems that may be masked by the ?symptoms?. Manage issues which must be resolved by IT application support to ensure issues are worked timely and completely to ensure that software and data issues are corrected going forward and that individual customer issues are rectified as well. Work with business teams to ensure timely and accurate communications are provided to the field of identified issues. E. Preparation of Monthly Operating Reports to supply key performance indicator metrics to upper management. F. Capability to adapt to change and learn new things is essential to accurately perform this function due to the constantly changing nature of our business, our products, and the application systems used to deliver them to our customers. Excessive attention to detail and personal commitment to deliver the best quality and most accurate bill to our customer and enjoying the task of ensuring we produce the best possible service to our customers is a necessary component of doing this job. G. Recommend improvements to existing processes as control gaps are identified and carry out the processes necessary to ensure procedures are developed/updated and that all team members are trained for new processes as well as business practice changes. Develop enhancement request documents (RTs) and associated business cases or lead internal projects where necessary to improve controls or other system functionality that would improve reference data accuracy and/or customer activation accuracy. H. After-hours and weekend support required as necessary.
