Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting
* Acting as a team lead and project lead, design and build reports and analyses that reflect complex program levers that directly impact product profitability, in order to support new PHP and EIP business initiatives such as product price and feature changes
* Structure, perform Quality Assurance, and deliver recurring reports and dashboards accurately and on-time (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
* Conceptualize, build, and deliver read-outs on new initiatives such as Growth campaigns
* Identify and communicate key insights to executive leadership team based on reports and analysis
Analytics
* Lead, perform and deliver analytics and business cases to PHP and EIP teams to enhance customer experience and improve programs' financial performance
* Formulate hypotheses, prepare data, perform analytics, and deliver comprehensive analytics projects such as fraud analysis, seasonality, and churn behavior
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders from stakeholder groups to drive clarity of reporting and analytics requirements, and ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements
Operational Support
* Execute campaign selection and exclusion criteria based on business rules, and prepare dataset to enable recurring SMS campaigns
* Prepare data to enable operations and correction of operational issues (e.g., notifications, fee credits, commissions adjustments)
* Provide insight on requirements and perform User Acceptance Testing on Enterprise-wide projects involving or impacting PHP and EIP programs
Analysis
* Ad hoc issue investigation and quantification of business impact
* Perform detailed reconciliation to enable audit-readiness
* Perform complex data analysis and financial modeling to support business case development
Other
* Create and deliver Executive-level presentations
* Identify opportunities and risks; make recommendations to improve financial performance
* Document work instructions, data sources, and report logic
* Design and implement peer review process to ensure quality and drive knowledge sharing
Functional/Technical Skills
Skills:
* Able to write complex SQL using a variety of User Interfaces (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, and TOAD for Oracle)
* Able to combine data across platforms and perform basic statistical analysis using SAS Enterprise Guide
* Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, graphing, data connections, and automation using macros)
* Strong executive presence
* Critical thinking and logical analysis
* Conceptualize and design new reports
* Ability to present detailed analytical results to executives in verbal and written form
* Data sleuth (e.g., data source identification, feasibility of joins, determine data reasonableness based on business insight)
* Sufficient Financial Accounting knowledge to be able to understand impact on PL from reporting
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Wireless industry background strongly preferred

!*!Experience/Education/Training
- 5 -7 years of experience
- MBA or masters degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
- Typically requires experience in relational database structures, research methods, sampling techniques, and system testing.
- Proficient in working with large-scale business data sets, fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in SAS, WEKA, SPSS, as well as C/C++/SQL, Perl or Java.
- Typically possesses advanced degree in Statistics and/or Computer Science or equivalent expertise.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
