The Sr. Operations Analyst has the day-to-day operations accountability for specific applications. The Analyst works closely with the Application Management Team to ensure integration of operations and maintenance to team standards. He/she exhibits a high service attitude and operations discipline to deliver a 7x24 highly available and highly performing production applications. He/she reviews incidents and project deliverables insuring his/her activities meet or exceed service level agreements, and that requested work is completed on time
Responsibilities*

- Executes day-to-day operational tasks
- Performs software server administrative tasks
- Performs monitoring control of global production environment
- Participates in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation
- Ensures applications are available reliable
- Manages the global application systems production operations environment
- Ensures the readiness of disaster recovery
continuity capability is maintained
- Ensures production application data is backed-up
- Supports application architecture based on standards requirements
- Participates in status calls
- Comply with and ensure compliance to established change control processes
- Develops custom tools to improve day-to-day processes
Knowledge Sharing / Documentation Distribute operational reports
Education: Bachelors Degree
Years of Experience*: 3-5
Others: College Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
Technical Skills
- Level 3 triage support of Microsoft Windows platform and applications or experience in internally developed application deployments.
- Good understanding of IIS 2003 and 2008.
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Good level understanding of AD and security.
- Good level of understanding of DHCP, DNS, WINS, server load balancing
- High level understanding of reporting and analysis.
Ability to use reporting tools to collect data and to provide output with high level interpretation. Examples include breaches of thresholds, service levels etc.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Documentum
- Basic knowledge and experience with Websphere.

- Awareness of the importance of Information Security and the associated policies, processes and activities undertaken within DTS. Awareness of Privacy principles and Safe Harbor provisions.
- Contributes to and is consulted during infrastructure architectural activities by applying select architectural techniques and technical knowledge. Understands and leverages infrastructure architectural principles for cross-functional purposes. Works with vendors as well as internally.
- Demonstrates basic
understanding of IT Governance concepts and ability to ask appropriate questions to adhere to governance; Understanding of how governance has been implemented within OIM and knowledge of when to escalate
- Ability to utilize and understand basic capabilities of performance management tools. Ability to create test criteria, validate performance tests
- Understands technology and technical concepts; Produces written materials with a consistent approach and tone; Communicates effectively with stakeholders and project team members regarding technical concepts
- Demonstrates awareness of major external technology vendors and understands critical information about future-oriented technologies; Drafts and participates in the development of service agreement contracts with vendors
