Sr. Accounts Receivable Revenue Accountant
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Accounts Receivable Revenue Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable, including reviewing and updating customer credit information, collection calls, cash forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition. This is a shared position with the A/R Senior Staff Accountant. The Sr. Accounts Receivable Revenue Accountant must efficiently and accurately document and record data. This position will also serve as support to fixed asset maintenance. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to successfully interact with all levels of management within and outside the company. The Sr. Accounts Receivable Revenue Accountant must display the ability to work within a team environment, make logical decisions, and show flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Accounts Receivable department working within a team environment that fosters respect, cooperation, and achievement
2. Process daily invoicing, cash application, and collection calls efficiently and accurately.
3. Ability to interface successfully with other peer groups to achieve common goals and objectives.
4. Review, analyze, report, and work with A/R Senior Staff Accountant and Great Plains Dynamics ERP system owners to implement process improvements in credit approval and review, invoicing, cash receipts application, and collections.
5. Collaborate with A/R Senior Staff Accountant in the development and maintenance of receivable system and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
6. Review, analyze, and report revenue, including contract review and contra revenue accruals.
7. Serve as backup support for fixed asset maintenance.
8. Comply with the company policies and procedures.
9. Additional responsibilities as may be assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. BS or BA degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience required.
2. Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
3. Must have prior experience in credit collections and revenue reporting roles.
4. Must have current and solid knowledge Great Plains Dynamics ERP system, preferably version 10.0, and ERP implementation/conversion.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to analyze processes, suggest improvements and implement change.
4. Proficient in PC applications such as MS Word and advanced MS Excel, Great Plains Dynamics, SmartList, FrX report writing.
