Sr. Associate Bus. Excellence Specialist Job in Frederick, Maryland US
Key Role Responsibilities and Authorities:
- Promote the use of process improvement tools and strategies for achieving operational excellence throughout the organization
- Utilize process improvement strategies (Lean, Six Sigma) and related tools (SPC, FMEA, 5S, etc.) to drive continuous improvement initiatives, focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost.
- Support and mentor staff in the use of process improvement tools.
- Promote a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all EHS programs and activities.
- Facilitate Kaizen events
Required Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a defined group of process improvement efforts
- Responsible for supporting/facilitating operational process improvement projects and reporting results
- Actively participate in the mapping and analysis of distribution and operational processes and the identification of opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
- Apply appropriate process improvement tools, such as SPC, FMEA, Mistake Proofing, Cellular Design, etc. to all projects
- Document productivity improvements, cost reductions and ROI
- Provide process troubleshooting support to all teams
- Develop content for internal and external seminars demonstrating process improvements
- Communicate effectively with distribution, planning, and manufacturing personnel
- Minimal travel to other sites (2-5%)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
· B.S. or equivalent experience
· Industrial experience in a biological manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience executing Lean transformational change in an operations environment
· Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology for reducing variation (Green Belt certification preferred but not required)
