Duties

·         Automate manual functional test cases using a variety of tools (WatiN, C#, SoapUI, Microsoft Test Suite)

·         Design, document, and execute system integration tests across several product lines

·         Design, document, and execute automated performance tests

·         Design, document, and execute automated regression tests

·         Design, document, and execute comprehensive test suites to validate new/changed functionality within several existing applications

·         Create scripts to populate data tables with test data

·         Write SQL queries to directly examine data stores and verify functionality

·         Create automated component level tests using SoapUI

·         Create automated tests to verify system interfaces.

 

Requirements

·         Design, document, and execute manual test cases as needed.

·         Assist with collecting and analyzing code coverage and other software quality metrics

·         Actively participate in peer reviews and other collaborative development activities

·         Assist with estimation tasks

·         Mentor and train junior engineers, testers and developers.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

·         Minimum 5 years experience in writing test plans, test cases, and scripts using.

·         Minimum 5 years OO development experience required.

·         Minimum 3 years .NET (C#, VBA, VB) development experience required.

·         Minimum 5 years SQL experience required.

·         Minimum 5 years experience writing automated test scripts required.

·         Expert knowledge of manual testing techniques and practices including integration, regression and performance testing required.

·         Experience with Microsoft Test Manager strongly preferred.

·         Previous WatiN experience strongly preferred.

·         Experience testing within an agile, iterative SDLC (e.g., XP, SCRUM, etc.) environment preferred.

·         Prior experience working with remote teams preferred.

·         Prior experience with SoapUI preferred.

·         Experience with MS Team Build preferred.

·         Previous Utility Industry experience preferred.

·         Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals with Minimal Supervision.

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·         Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills.

·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
