The Sr. BQ Specialist performs a variety of job functions in the quality assurance
laboratory which includes training, testing of products, and completion of area related projects. Demonstrates project abilities in proficiency evaluation and certification programs. The Specialist may also review and development of laboratory documents including SOP's, evaluation, installation of new lab equipment, and new testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
1- Serves as investigation writer for Biological Lab issues - including but not limited to Plant Sterilization Technology Challenges, Diagnostic lab issues and Environmental Monitoring excursions.
2- Provides Lake Forest Regulatory Compliance information about biological challenges performed at the Rocky Mount Site.
3- Manages special projects.
4- Develops methodology.
5- Writes and edits area SOPs.
• Minimum of 3 years of applicable laboratory experience is required. The 3 years must show a progressive increase in duties that require higher levels of technical ability.
• Current working knowledge of basic analytical.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills to successfully perform all aspects of training in the laboratory (technical and non-technical) and to handle project related
work.
• Ability to work independently in prioritizing project development/maintenance based on assessment of
departmental needs.
• Multi-task handling multiple duties and projects at the same time and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical and/or leadership skills.
