SR Budget Analyst Job in Aberdeen 21001, Maryland US
Viatech, Inc., A DSCI Company, is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst for our group in Aberdeen, Maryland. This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. A 4-year degree is also required.
The Budget Analyst will be responsible for budget formulation for the budget year and two program years on a biannual basis, which includes:
- Coordinates with project officers, directorate level budget analysts, contracting officers representatives and other knowledgeable individual in order to gather, interpret, and independently analyze data and operational plans, and to understand the financial needs of the Headquarters/Sectors/MEPS.
- Responsible for current and prior years budget execution. Analyzes funding provided in relation to the budgeted funding requested, determining through coordination with action officers the distribution of available funding.
- Monitors the timeliness and rate of obligation, comparing them to the obligation plan in order to ensure objectives are being met and that funding is sufficient to support mission programs.
- Analyzes deviations from plans and requests for change, and independently redistributes funds among mission programs after coordination with action officers.
