Primary Focus:

Leading energy retailer has an immediate need for a Sr. Business Analyst who will be a key member of the Change Management team. The Sr. Business Analyst will be focused on business analysis and is responsible for supporting projects that facilitate any type of change, including system, application and process enhancements. The ideal candidate will produce business documentation, including defining business requirements, cross functional specifications, defining and creating process maps/flows and desktop procedures, performing testing activities and supporting project implementations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·          Facilitate cross-functional business requirements gathering sessions by using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, test scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis.

·          Communicate effectively with business and operational users to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management and IS.

·          Create and lead user acceptance testing (UAT), including definition, review and fractionation of signoff for testing scenarios, and performs UAT when necessary.

·          Serve as the liaison between the business units, technology teams (IS and QA), and business readiness teams.

·          Support issue escalations and resolutions for business analyst team in support of meeting agreed project scope, expectations and delivery of solution.

·          Develop business solutions with IS, vendors and consultants. Review and sign off on solution design on behalf of the business.

 

Qualifications:

·          Bachelor degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent experience required

·          5-8 years of relevant work experience

·          Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, including coaching, facilitating and presentation skills

·          Strong analytical and basic project methodology skills with the ability to translate technical issues in a non-technical manner

·          Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers and subject matter experts

·          Knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems a plus

·          Proficient in Visio and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
