Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager Job in New York, New York US
The Senior Business Analyst of Ad Sales Systems position will work closely with Ad Sales, IT and other business groups at A+E to assist in the support, development and implementation of new systems and workflows. This position will include Production Support, requirements gathering and documentation, Quality Assurance, Training and implementation in support of Ad Sales Systems.
The ideal candidate will be both a strong self-starter and effective collaborator, showing strong interest in systems and process improvement, strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills. He/she is expected to understand complex business processes and requirements and translate them to written requirements; the incumbent should also possess the ability to communicate and disseminate this information to appropriate people in the organization. They should exhibit the ability to work on multiple assignments; exercise good judgment in decision-making; meet deadlines; work independently, demonstrate an attention to detail and be flexible.
-Research, comprehend and document business requirements and business workflows as part of day to day troubleshooting or as part of a project. Effectively communicate information to appropriate people in the team/organization.
-Assist in project management in various capacities as needed.
-Communicate effectively with users and technical staff to bring projects and issues to resolution.
-Production support for Ad Sales systems. The incumbent should provide support to our business community, answer user questions, debug systems and processes, and work with vendors and/or internal application development team directly when issues require escalation.
-Ensure integrity of systems by supporting applications, analyzing recurring problems, find and implement permanent solutions.
-Log issues in Issue Tracking system
-Implement Audit related policies
-Develop test cases and test plans, create the test environment, and conduct system tests for new or modified programs.
-Consistently maintain electronic knowledgebase of issues, processes, project plans, etc.
-Assist in and take initiative in business process re-engineering with the goal of increasing operational and tactical effectiveness of the organization
-Communicate effectively to all project stakeholders and ensure that project documentation is up to date
Required Experience:
Strong Analytical Skills
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
Min of 4 years of experience as aBusiness Analyst.
Project Managers should have a min of 2 years of experience in Project Management
Strong Communication skills (both written and verbal) Initiative, Judgment, Collaboration.
Project Management Expertise strongly preferred
Required Education:
BA or BS degree (MBA or MS preferred)
