Sr C++ High Frequency Trading
My client is a world leader in building and operating electronic over-the-counter marketplaces. Since 1998 the company has helped transform the way that business gets done in the fixed income and derivatives markets. Their position as the hub of electronic trading in fixed income and derivatives business has been made possible through a longstanding partnership with the industry.
Responsibilities:
- C++ development of ultra low latency server side infrastructure including the following components: API Gateways, internal monitoring and testing tools, etc.
- Enhancements and Modifications to the infrastructure as needed by the introduction of new products.
- Secondary responsibility for Level 2 support for system on a rotational basis or as needed for vacation coverage.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong skills in object oriented programming in C++ - OO concepts, data structures, patterns, multithreaded programming, IPC
- Significant experience in Visual C++, Windows environment or Linux / gcc
- Experience working with SQL
- FIX experience preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Four year degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years relevant experience
- Experience with high volume e-trading or business critical real time infrastructure.
- Ideal Candidate would have experience in doing similar role in other exchanges/IDB, at sell side firm e-trading team or a trading platform vendor.
- Strong Pluses:
- Experience in building ultra-low latency (sub milli second) infrastructure
- Knowledge of IPC middleware like RV, 29west, Tervella, etc
- Experience with performance analysis and optimizations
- Knowledge of Fixed Income e-trading
- Experience with Derivatives trade settlement feeds.
