Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer
Description:
Design Group Staffing is currently seeking a SeniorCivil/Structural Engineerfor our client, an industry leading, National Commercial/Institutional Engineering Consulting firm. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Management of structural component design within various new construction and improvement projects
- Design consultations and project coordination with clients and other engineering disciplines within the organization
- Ensure proper building code and regulatory standards are adhered to
- Monitoring and Producing all construction design related documentation
- Shop drawing reviews and onsite progress reviews
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Civil/Structural Engineering Experience in a consulting or construction environment.
- Experience with foundations, steel and concrete structural systems, storm and/or sanitary water systems, facilities design.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Exceptional organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong professional presence and a proven ability to interface with various levels of management.
- Comfortable working in a team environment as well as individually.
- Current Canadian P.Eng and/or eligible for immediate registration with APEGGA
