Sr Content Project Manager - Windows User Experience Design

Job Category: Software Engineering: Content Publishing Location: Redmond, WA, US Job ID: 788431-76625 Division: Windows Division The Windows User Experience Design team is looking for a passionate and experienced Content Project Manager. You will join a design team focused on Windows products, including the Windows operating system, Windows apps services and Windows web sites. We deliver exceptional software and web experiences for millions of customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for a large variety of tasks related to content publishing including: - Partnering with key global stakeholders to understand audience, customer scenarios, business goals and drivers, and success metrics for visual content - Collaborating with design, content, product marketing, and technical teams to deliver world-ready content - Understanding the quality bar and participating in maintaining high-quality across visual asset libraries - Defining practices and processes: ensure all workflow is clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff is trained in expectations on the workflow. - Proactively identifying risks associated with meeting project milestones; ensures necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties which may impede progress or compromise achievement of project objectives. - Identifying task-related processes to improve efficiency - Identifying areas needing documentation and guidelines and assisting in creation of this material - Communicating partnering with internal teams such as legal, geo-political, licensing and ordering, as well as external vendor agencies to negotiate contracts and ensure appropriate visual content assessments. Qualifications: - 5+ years of project management experience, with the ability to drive and manage work streams at the tactical level. - Strong understanding of software and web-based user experience principles and best practices - Excellent problem solving skills, the ability to execute with limited direction, and a high level of comfort with ambiguity and change - Experience with business process re-engineering and leading production process best practices. Understanding of production tools, processes and pipelines is a big plus. - Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, including negotiation and compromise - Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from the inception stage through launch - Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills - Bachelor's degree, PMP Designation or equivalent.
