Description

The incumbent will provide direct supervision to associates responsible for overseeing a complex mix of conversion activity that includes new business conversions, de-conversions, asset reallocations, in-kind transfers and/or asset certifications. S/He will be responsible for the review of accurate conversion data on financial statements and control reports for daily, weekly, or monthly valuation clients. S/He will verify that the departmental procedures established are being followed and are functioning effectively. S/He will be supporting a conversion activities related to a mix of complex institutional client relationships requiring the in-depth understanding of custody and accounting processing activities. S/He will also be responsible for leading meetings concerning conversion activity as well as supervise the interaction with the client, investment managers and our internal business groups. S/He will also lead discussions on process improvement and implement changes to existing work streams. This position requires substantial flexibility, as the incumbent will be assigned many tasks as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience. S/He must have an extensive knowledge of securities and trust accounting theories and practices. S/He must be familiar with PC spreadsheets, on-line systems and have experience with asset transfers (securities, collective/mutual funds). S/He must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines. Supervisory, interviewing, organizational, and effective leadership skills required. Requires 5 years of relevant securities experience.
