We are looking for an experienced attorney to help manage Amazonrsquo;s labor and employment issues throughout the US. Responsibilities include providing practical advice and counseling regarding general labor and employment issues such as those relating to discrimination, disability accommodation, hiring, performance management and discharge, wage and hour, wrongful termination, employee privacy, non-compete agreements, protection of trade secrets and other relevant labor and employment issues. Responsibilities also include managing litigation, government agency investigations and administrative charges as well as the assessment, selection, and supervision of outside counsel. This position will work actively with internal clients in the Human Resources Department and requires the ability to travel and work extended hours when necessary. This position reports to the Associate General Counsel, Labor Employment. Basic Qualifications 7+ years of legal experience J.D. degree and membership in good standing in one state bar is required Preferred Qualifications A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is preferred Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analytical and computer skills Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
