Sr. Credit Card Account Specialist in Wilkesboro, NC
This Senior Specialist on the Credit Card Accounting team, will provide critical assistance and support to our stores as we transition to ?Lowe?s Experience of the Future?. The successful candidate for this position will be able to perform any of the duties assigned to a Senior Specialist, including but not limited to: reconciling daily funding to daily settlement, reviewing and responding to chargebacks for debit/credit card transactions, investigating possible duplicate transactions to ensure that funds due Lowe?s and customers are accounted for properly, investigating and proposing solutions for transactional issues associated with the debit/credit tender, researching payment issues for private label cards and retrievals requests from third party processors, and posting journal entries to the PeopleSoft General Ledger. This incumbent will also be able to correspond with other departments within Finance, Stores, Information Technology and Credit Card Processors, while following Payment Card Industry data security guidelines. In addition to the above, the individual must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, offer recommendations for process improvements, assist team members with their daily functions when critical deadlines need to be achieved in order to avoid financial loss, and provide additional reporting or analysis that may be requested by a Supervisor or Manager. Position Requirements: ? 1 to 2 years Accounting experience. ? The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills. ? The individual must also be self motivated, detail oriented, and demonstrate excellent written verbal communication skills. ? This position requires excellent time management skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize to meet deadlines. ? The ideal candidate must be dependable and have the ability to work within a team environment. ? Must exhibit professionalism and engage in all responsibilities with a positive attitude. ? Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), PeopleSoft GL, Mainframe, LowesLink, and DART. ? Must be eligible to work within the USA for any employer ? Must successfully pass background and substance abuse screening Preferred Qualifications: A 2-year degree in Accounting/Business Administration and/or 4 years of related work experience is preferred.
