PREDICTif Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to add to our staff of business intelligence specialists. This position will work within a team environment to create custom ware housing solutions for our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES : Design and implement Data Warehouse ETL solutions using architecture patterns, logical and physical data models and in accordance with client business requirements Conduct profiling of data sources and determine cleansing and data quality rules. Conduct ETL solution design and code reviews Document and communicate the EDW designs for re-use and transition to other parts of the organization for support and knowledge transition. Apply architectural and software engineering concepts to create a solution that is appropriately scalable, maintainable, securable, reliable, extensible, flexible, available, manageable, etc. Drive collaboration sessions among client IT and business groups to facilitate optimal support and operation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse Collaborate with key vendors on functional, performance and capacity improvements and solutions. Work independently or as part of a team with business users, analysts and data warehouse architects toward the design and development of optimal BI solutions. REQUIREMENTS: Possess a minimum of 6 years hands-on ETL experience A thorough understanding of end-end processing of jobs in a Data Warehouse environment with an ability to identify jobs for optimization and continuous improvement. A comprehensive knowledge of the design and development of jobs using ETL, ELT and capture technologies. Be able to recommend the adoption of the right pattern for a given job and be able to speak to the pros and cons of each. Has a good understanding of the principals of workload management and can implement them to exploit the feature and functionalities of the different platforms and to balance the resources on the system(s). Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database. A good understanding of BI tools and their interface to the EDW for deep analytics is required. Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience is required; Computer Science or Engineering degree is preferred. Candidate must possess a genuine desire to provide superior customer service to our customers. Demonstrate proven ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, drive issues to resolution, and make decisions, both individually and when leading a group to reach a conclusion. Very strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills are essential. Ability to present ideas to varying technical/business/management groups to drive adoption. Candidate must work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives all with different priorities at the same time. Must be results oriented, willing to take responsibility, risk, and accept accountability for actions of the team.
