Sr. Derivatives Operations Analyst

Currently, we are seeking a talented Sr. Derivatives Operations Analyst to join the Corporate Division. The Corporate Divisision supports the goals and initiatives of all other divisions throughout the company and its subsidiaries.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides day to day derivative operational support to Traders and Fund Managers to ensure a smooth settlement of all Derivative Trades and Collateral movements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Performs related derivative security master set-up, including the review of trade tickets and trade confirms to determine and verify the detailed characteristics of each transaction.
*Notifies management of settlement exceptions or issues as they arise.
*Resolves post-purchase adjustments related to security trades, as well as reconciles reports and communicates discrepancies.
*Verifies and audits transaction reports to ensure that trading room activity and security information is reported in a manner consistent with corporate accounting and reporting requirements.
*Utilizes and updates processes and procedures to ensure that assets are safeguarded and financial activity is reported in a manner consistent with corporate accounting and reporting requirements.
*Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
*Updates security and operational databases, ensuring that information is accurate and timely.
*Recommends process improvements and system enhancements while ensuring that controls are maintained or improved.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
*5+years work experience within a Derivatives Operations Group (Investment Banking, Fund Manager of Hedge Fund),) and college degree (equivalent experience)required
*Advance computer skills, including MS Office products (Excel, Access, Word, etc)
*Demonstrated interpersonal, networking, and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with brokers, custodians, and traders as well as other internal departments to resolve complex issues
*Solid Knowledge of vanilla derivatives including, IRS, CDS, TRS, Options, FX Options and forwards, Bonds, Repos, Private Placements, and Term Loans
*Comprehensive understanding of commonly traded fixed income products (bonds, ABS, private placements, swaps) and related securities operations
*Knowledge of Bloomberg functionalities including APIs, trading booking, reporting and researching
*Experience with DTCC, Markit, Bloomberg VCONN or other matching platforms
*Experience with Eagle PACE reporting or Business Objects reporting highly preferred
