Our client located in the Philly Metro area is looking for two Senior .Net Developers. Both positions are on a contract – to – hire arrangement. Selected candidate will be responsible for multiple phases of the application lifecycle including analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing a custom developed application. The qualified candidate will be well versed in object oriented programming concepts and have a proven track record of delivering quality solutions in layered application architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ASP.NET web applications to meet business defined requirements
- Evaluate project requirements, determine and design the best solution to a problem or feature, develop detailed specification, code, test and implement the solution
- Analyze, identify and troubleshoot issues encountered in production and/or reported by customers/users by investigating and conducting in-depth research and debugging code
- Refactor code to optimize performance and simplify code management
- Provide technical guidance and training to other analysts/ programmers within the organization / project team
Skills:
- B.S. in Computer Science or similar. Experience may be substituted for education
- Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis and programmingactivities
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a production environment
- Ability to identify, understand and help manage business clients objectives
- Ability to work within a defined SDLC
- Experience supporting an enterprise wide system/application
- Experience with agile development, test driven development
- Experience refactoring code to optimize performance
Required Technical Skills:
- 5 + years of ASP.NET development experience, .Net 2.0 or later
- 5+ years of experience in C#, VB experience a plus
- Experience in object oriented programming
- Experience creating layered application architectures
- Experience with Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2005/2008, DTS Packages, Stored Procedures, SSIS
- Experience with web services, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, LINQ and HTML
- Experience with Windows Communication Foundation and Team Foundation Server
- Experience with SharePoint 2010 development a plus
