Capital One is seeking a tenured Senior Director for the Brand Acquisition Channel Marketing team. In this exciting role, you will direct the marketing communications development for multiple lines of business. The Sr. Director will carry out strategic and tactical marketing agendas while being responsible for the development and execution of marketing communications. Working with business unit and research managers, this Sr. director will determine information gaps needed to be closed to create effective communications for current products and produce new pipeline offerings. This director will advocate and enforce brand use standards while driving product development. The right candidate will work in various areas of market research including customer segmentation, focus groups, large tracking programs, survey design and detailed analysis of all. The Director will also be responsible for developing, coaching and motivating team of highly skilled research professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of discreet and multi-channel campaign communications for USC Acquisitions
- Manage portfolio of marketing communications and correlating rollout performance.
- Lead learning agenda and portfolio creative testing investment strategy
- Design and implement channel marketing plans for Card Acquisition portfolio
- Steward $6MM creative marketing spend budget, with a focus on maximizing ROI
- Drive channel extensions strategies across existing and emerging channels, including display, social and email
- Partner with our internal market research department and agency planning teams to identify consumer and market insights to inform in-market strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams including partners from: Marketing Analysis (PL owners), Brand Segment teams, Operations/Production, Legal etc.
- Oversee marketing communication agencies and other vendors as required
- Partner in assessment of effectiveness of marketing initiatives and investments; Influence investment decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 10 years of experience in Direct marketing management: creative and communication development for marketing campaigns; program design and analysis
- 3 years of experience in Vendor Management: television, radio, newsprint, OOH, events, promotions, sponsorships, OTG, and direct mail strategy and creative development
- 2 years of experience in Knowledge of new product development and the ability to drive new products into the market
- 2 years of experience in Leading others in developing and implementing new business strategy into the business and the marketplace.
- 2 years of experience in Analytical and quantitative problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, a Marketing field, Marketing Research or Communications
- 5 years of experience in Vendor Management: television, radio, newsprint, OOH, events, promotions, sponsorships, OTG, and direct mail strategy and creative development
