JOB PURPOSE
Assist the Vice President of Education in providing educational and operational support to CSUSA’s turnaround schools in Indiana.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work to support Charter Schools USA in securing partner schools, within the state of Indiana, for turnaround projects.
• Manage projects and processes for formalizing school partnerships.
• Conduct strategic analysis for turnaround schools.
• Serve as a local expert, supporting the turnaround process.
• Cooperatively develop and implement systems to keep key leadership staff and other stakeholders informed of the current status of turnaround partner school progress.
• Assist CSUSA with the identification and selection of turnaround school staff, specifically the purposeful selection of hiring and assignment of teachers and other critical staff.
• Assist school based staff with assessing their own training needs relative to implementing the CSUSA Educational Model, along with other strategies used for improving student performance.
• Oversee school-based initiatives to create school cultures with high expectations for students, faculty and staff, including a strong work ethic and high faculty morale.
• Create an expectation for initial and on-going gathering, analysis, charting and use of student generated data for use as the basis for selecting appropriate instructional strategies for all students.
• Monitor community awareness and concern for aspects of student progress success.
• Monitor the implementation of the discreet components of the CSUSA Educational Model which includes the guaranteed and viable curriculum, baseline assessment and regular progress assessments, data-driven instruction, reporting, teacher and student reflection, etc.
• Work with the principals to analyze and track progress as well as monitor all three school sites
• Provide local educational support relative to the day-to-day operational needs of the schools.
• Work cooperatively with appropriate CSUSA district staff for the purpose of maintaining direct support to the schools and for maintaining management control as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Previous Principal experience required.
• Undergraduate Degree required, Graduate Degree, MBA, MPP, Education preferred.
• Experience in education reform, nonprofit management, and/or national service.
• Experience with knowledge management systems.
• Experience developing organizational learning content and rolling out training initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work and to communicate well with diverse audiences.
• Experience in managing multiple large scale relationships/partnerships.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability and experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic organization.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.
FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA’s policy.
