Job Description
• Make decisions on complex cases and situations associated with the functions supported.
• Drive compliance, operational excellence and service quality.
• Provide oversight to quality control and policy adherence to business standards.
• Regularly interact with peers, internal and external clients to include underwriters, case managers, wholesalers, phone center agents, participants, policy service, management, and exam vendors.
• Ensure that the functions supported, areas managed, and personnel managed adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
• Continually improve operations through effective coaching and development of team.
• Initiate recommendations to improve operational workflow and process improvement.
• Support all external and internal audits and exams of the functions supported.
• Track and monitor adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee metrics for the functions supported.
• Ensure that operations are managed in accordance with all applicable SEC, state insurance, IRS and FINRA regulations.
• Promote the adoption of a controls and compliance culture through training and consulting activities.
• Create formal networks involving coordination among groups.
• Confer with executives, peers and other managers to discuss production activities relative to policies and procedures, to resolve problems and recommend solutions.
• Partner with business partners including users, technology, training, communications, treasury, reinsurance, sales, management, compliance and risk.Qualifications
• 10 years insurance experience
• College degree or equivalent business experience
• Strong management experience
• Experience in life insurance operations
• Experience in regulatory and compliance arena, sales, product development and operations
• Experience with multiple distribution channels
• Relationships with reinsurers and third party vendors
• Proven strong partnership with underwriting and sales
