The Senior Documentation Specialist prepares Commercial Loan Documentation including Letter of Credits in accordance with the Credit Approval for all areas of the Business Line and all subsidiaries of Firstrust. This person will also assist the manager in controlling all system software, manuals, procedures and processes for documentation changes while maintaining data integrity. They will coordinate documentation, loan repayment structure with lenders, counsel, and others to mitigate the bank's risk. The Sr. Documentation Specialist will also assist in the training of loan closing processes and standard requirements to lenders, other staff members, administrative assistance, and others as needed.
- Prepare and work with department staff to prepare documentation within multiple states for all types of commercial credit accommodations including loan/line transactions, and provisions necessary to conform to government programs.
- Produce and work with department staff to produce various commercial loans of all complexity to facilitate loan settlements.
- Provide all ongoing servicing to ensure the data integrity of our loan systems reflects the provisions found in the documentation and credit policy minutes. Determine CRA Census Track requirements and compile and populate data into the loan documents.
- Validate all authority levels to ensure proper disbursements of funds, calculate all interested rate adjustments, fees, etc. associated with the credit accommodation for the life of the relationship.
- Compose and provide direction to department staff to prepare all necessary correspondence to customers, outside counsel, title companies State and Local government offices regarding funding, lien perfections, regulation compliance etc.
- Prepare all repayment calculations to ensure proper interest calculation and repayment of credit accommodation, these calculations can vary from Wall Street Journal pricing, fixed rate, Libor, Fed Funds, Euro dollars, and tier level using multi pricing options.
- Process and/or coordinate the review of closed commercial loan packages (internally and externally prepared) to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with approval, policy and government regulations.
- Responsible for accurately preparing and the timely distribution of the bank's documentation deficiency report.
- Interface with lenders, counsel, title companies and other vendors to help facilitate and expedite loan closing. Provide assistance for loan closing to branches and others as needed.
- Interface with all loan operation staff to provide support in collateral perfection, continuation, tracking exceptions, special repayment structures etc. to ensure loans are accurately booked to loan accounting system
- Assist in the development of new business for Firstrust. Processes knowledge of corporate products and services and is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to open account.
