Job Description Job Classification: Contract Mid-sized biotech firm with multiple products on the market and robust pipeline is seeking a Senior Drug Safety Associate to join their growing team. Sr. Drug Safety Associate receives and reviews adverse event forms for completeness, recognizes discrepancies, enters data into safety database, obtains follow-up information and assesses causal relationship of adverse events and serious adverse events. Sr. Drug Safety Associate sets work priorities and direction with input from Drug Safety Manager and acts as a trainer and guide more junior global drug safety staff. In coordination with other drug safety team members, Sr. Drug Safety Associate will prepare, submit, and track expedited reports to various regulatory agencies and partner companies to comply with applicable global regulations and safety data exchange agreements. Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (scientific or healthcare related discipline preferred) and 4-7+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare, clinical or bio-pharmaceutical field with direct experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company Drug Safety Department. Candidate should have at least 1-2 years direct experience with writing narratives for adverse events and serious adverse events reporting. Strong organizational, oral/written communication and project management skills required along with strong attention to detail and a high commitment to and accountability of deliverables. This is a solid 6-month contract-to-hire opening with a growing group. Candidates must demonstrate narrative writing capabilities through a written and timed narrative writing test.
