Project Parsons is managing an Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to review third party A/E work; conduct studies, analysis, testing and measuring; perform specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews; commissioning services; and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders. Need Parsons is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design modifications to electrical systems and components for Tier III and Tier IV data centers and mission critical facilities. The selected candidate will assure conformance to the intent of the client's data center(s) and campus improvement programs, industry design standards, and applicable electrical codes. In this capacity, you will make design recommendations to increase electrical efficiencies, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects. You may interface with technical peers, clients, third-party design professionals, construction contractors, and other stakeholders. Keys to your success will be your expertise in designing electrical systems and panels using mid to high voltage for data centers or facility modernization programs. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD. 15+ years of electrical engineering experience with a Federal data center, campus or facility modernization background Design expertise in electrical systems, components and panels using mid to high voltage B.S. in mechanical engineering PE registration required and LEED certification preferred Proof of U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a high level DOD clearance Qualifications PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 15+ years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration may be required. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES : Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
