Job Family Summary
Operations Electrical Engineering:
- Lead production process design for continuous improvement in quality delivery and cost
- Lead existing product and component design for performance, reliability and cost improvement
- Support Supplier Excellence and Development
- Support development of new product platforms and iterations
- Support design for manufacturability / assembly (DFMA) processes in new product development
What is expected of you for success in your role
- Demonstrates working knowledge of decomposing requirements into straight forward electrical specifications and rudimentary designs
- Demonstrates working knowledge of formal theories and principles by option usage, choice or selection
- Applies foundational theories and principles to accomplish design tasks with moderate guidance
- Generates a schematic and related files that are ready for PCB layout with moderate guidance
- Contributes to and participates in design reviews
- Demonstrates understanding of test protocol structure and requirements
- Develops and executes test protocols
- Performs rudimentary statistical analysis of results
Accountabilities
As a member of a cross functional Product Focus Team, this position supports the electrical engineering aspect of Infusion pumps manufacturing including design transfer and manufacturing line qualification, supplier support, lifecycle management and review of production metrics to address issues to meet targets and goals.
- Review production performance metrics and address issues to meet targets and goals.
- Perform component engineering to replace obsolete components. Create and execute test protocols to qualify new components for existing designs
- Conduct Failure investigations of product quality issues
- Supplier issues, qualifications, and investigations support.
- Manage engineering change orders. Perform value analysis and cost reduction activities to improve the value of products and processes
- Represent department and participate in cross functional project teams

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 3+ years related work experience required
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, including embedded micro processor and software, analog circuitry, mixed signal circuitry, digital logic (including programmable logic), data acquisition systems, and motion control systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
