The Sr. EMR Implementation Analyst is a lead position with respect to the implementation of the IPS Sutter Community Connect (SCC) products (powered by Epic). The incumbent has primary responsibility for the implementation of the IPS/SCC products and associated applications and functions for assigned customers. This role includes the training of customers on the application, as well as the management of the project including process re-design and migration from current charting systems. The position is considered the expert in the SCC application for Sutter Physician Services as it relates to the functionality for clinical users. The incumbent will provide application and technical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting assistance to the product customers and IPS/SCC support staff. The Sr. EMR Implementation Analyst will be expected to work in concert with the other IPS team members that implement and support the Sutter Community Connect products for the assigned customers to achieve a successfully integrated implementation. In addition, the incumbent will lead the clinical content development for assigned specialties. This position will provide guidance and participate in the support of the system as well as work with other departments, practice personnel and vendors, and will assist with some of the technical aspects of product implementation/rollout and support. The incumbent will be responsible for setting and following standards for data quality, efficiency, operations, and data integrity across the all application functional components. This position assists in the critical work of system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing, training and implementation of the product. It is critical this incumbent has a thorough understanding of clinic operations, along with an understanding of the technical environment of product lines they are responsible for. The Sr. EMR Implementation Analyst will be expected to act as mentor and provide guidance to other EMR Implementation Analyst(s) on their assigned customer implementations.
Education:
1. A bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, the Application area, a related Health Care field is preferred.
OR
The equivalent combination of education, training, application/hardware support, hardware/software installation projects, and hospital/clinic operation experience may be substituted.
2. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferred
Experience/Knowledge:
1. 5-6 years related software implementation experience
2. Certification in Epic and/or Epic Community Connect EHR/PM applications for ambulatory or inpatient at time of hire is desired
3. Software implementation experience using Electronic Health Record product lines is required.
4. Experience in adult learning and mentoring
5. Experiences managing, supporting, and/or implementing complex clinical projects that require coordination of resources, and project planning is required.
6. Clinic or other health care application experience preferred
7. Project Management experience is required
8. Experience developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships required
9. Experience analyzing clinical workflow and practice operations required
10. Experience designing and implementing solutions to clinic application issues and problems required
11. Experience the operational and documentation aspects of the healthcare industry required
12. Experience working with physicians, practice managers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and presenting application build and implementation decisions
13. Experience in the art of negotiating.
