SUMMARY:
This position is for a Database Sr. Engineer within our development teams, responsible for participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle in an Agile/Lean environment. Performs analysis, design and development of software products, utilizing Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling tools, and Java. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner.
· Design and develop database schemas, PL/SQL stored procedures, and database maintenance scripts.
· Maintain several Oracle development databases.
· Design and develop data warehouse components for a large (several terabyte, over 500 million rows collected daily) data warehouse.
· Develop SQL reports.
· Develop scripts using Perl, Python, and Java.
· Work with application developers to define database requirements.
· Optimize and tune database routines and sql.
· Define and implement database development products.
· Develop schemas for, and load, mapping data into Oracle databases.

· Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
· Possess a minimum of five years of software development experience with Oracle including SQL, PL/SQL, and tuning.
· Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP database design
· 2+ years experience with Perl
· Proficient oral and written communication skills
· Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
· Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
· Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
· Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
· Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
Highly Desired Skills:
· Excellent knowledge and proven, multi-year experience in Agile/Lean (Scrum, XP and Kanban) development environments
