Seagate is seeking a forward thinking Engineering professional to be a part of the Media Research Development organization in the Recording Media Operations in Fremont, CA reporting to the Sr Engineering Manager.
In this role you will focus on:
- Performing calibration, repair, service, maintenance and upgrade of spin stand test equipment.
- You will also troubleshoot and resolve spin stand test equipment issues.
- Coordinate with cross functional test groups for new software and hardware to enhance test capabilities.
- Conduct tester conversion/upgrades to meet product requirements; and tracking, installing and updating VTS firmware and Win EE software.
- You will also learn hands-on electrical and mechanical hardware installation techniques which are related to tester setup.
Qualifications:
- Technical: 0-2 years SpinStand test experience
- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform simple bench test-related issues diagnosis is required.
- Knowledge in computer-programming background a plus. i.e. Matlab, C, Phyton etc.
