Project:
Parsons is responsible for management of environmental assessment and remediation at former and active petroleum, chemical and pipeline facilities in Chicago, Illinois and Northern Indiana.
 
Need:
Parsons is in need of a Sr. Environmental Project Manager whose responsibilities consist of overall management of remedial investigation, design, construction, and OM activities including safety, regulatory strategy, technical strategy, financial and subcontractor management, schedule, and contractual obligations.
·         Must have working knowledge of the Illinois EPA regulations, established working relationships with IEPA, strong knowledge of traditional and innovative remedial approaches, and demonstrated Project Management and leadership skills. Must communicate well and be able to work with and manage a large and complex team. Selected candidate will also be managing specific tasks as well.
·         Must have proven success in managing budgets and schedules, establishing a relationship with a client, and managing a team of multidisciplinary engineers, geologists, scientists and support staff. Proven manpower estimating experience, staff selection skills, experience developing bid documents including coordinated drawings and specifications. P.E. or P.G.  desirable.  Demonstrated success in being an excellent team player as well as a leader; and will be comfortable working in a team environment with multiple contractors at client's facility.
·         Identification, definition and execution of major environmental assessment and sediment remediation projects and opportunities, as well as assistance to the Program and Business Development Managers in pursuit.
·         Planning, directing, and supervising all business, technical, fiscal, and administration functions of the assigned project.
·         Managing project schedules and budgets. Acting as the company representative with the client and subcontractors. Negotiating changes to the scope. Marketing and securing additional work with the client in conjunction with the Program and BD Managers.
·         The successful candidate will also establish the requirements for all areas of the project and review draft deliverables or implement the QA/QC program.
·         Candidate will also assume leadership and functional management of the environmental team, responsible for workload leveling, mentoring, scheduling, performance evaluations, development of salary plan, human resource interactions.
 
 
 

 Requirements:

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science with 15 to 25 years of proven experience and leadership in remedial investigation, design, construction and OM projects. • Experience with Site Remediation, RCRA, industrial clients, and active petroleum and LUST facilities. In-situ soil remediation, remedial groundwater treatment system, and barrier wall experience a plus.
