- Communicate project status with each other, with department representatives, and with project leadership; provide formal status report on a periodic basis to leadership staff as requested.
- Participate in application design, validation, and advanced design sessions within assigned area.
- Participate in other key project activities and meetings as assigned.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings as assigned; record meeting minutes as assigned.
- Design and implement future–state clinical workflows by interacting with clinical department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design.
- Design, build, and validate the application to conform to desired clinical workflows.
- Populate master tables and system files in accordance with established guidelines; following standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications.
- Participate in Epic testing as developed and directed by the Testing Manager; document test results.
- Follow established guidelines for system change control.
- Track, update, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with Principal Trainers in the design and development of role–based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented.
- Support end–users onsite during go–live events
- Provide on–call support to end–users on a scheduled basis.
- Maintain system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system.
- Implement approved changes based on customer–designated priorities.
- Troubleshoot problems identified by team members and end–users.
- Review and test new builds and releases prior to implementation in the production environment.
- Identify potential system enhancement needs.
- Provide input on status reports and project plan updates to the Application Director.
- Provide demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
- 4 years of professional experience in a health care provider, health plan or consulting setting (or 2 years with MBA/MHA/equivalent master degree), which include 2 years in CIS operations (including at least 1 lifecycle implementation of a CIS module)
- Certification in EPIC is REQUIRED
- Experience with any of the following Epic applications: Willow Inpatient Pharmacy, OpTime OR, Anesthesia, Resolute Hospital Billing and Patient Accounting, Resolute Professional Billing and Patient Accounting
- Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility
- Performed above expectations in previous professional roles
- Competent in Microsoft Excel
- Must live within commuting distance to Seattle, WA or open to travel 4–5 days/week
- Experience working on or leading large–scale CIS implementation initiatives, including development of documentation templates, clinical content, testing scripts, training plans, and implementation plans
- Experience in clinical workflow redesign
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record
- Advanced degree in business or health care–related field (e.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program
- 2+ years of management consulting experience in a health care related field
- Professional competence in Microsoft PowerPoint and Access
- Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem–solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, team–building and communication skills
- Ability to build consensus and foster change in a client business setting
